Travel & parking
Tonbridge town centre gets busy during the festive season, so it's worth planning your route in.
🚆 By train
Tonbridge station is served by regular trains from London Charing Cross, taking around 45 minutes. The Castle is roughly a 10-minute walk from the station through the High Street.
🚌 By bus
Local bus routes serve Tonbridge town centre. Check Traveline for routes and times from your starting point.
🚲 By bike
Tonbridge sits on the Tudor Trail, part of the National Cycle Network, with a largely traffic-free route along the River Medway. Bike racks are available outside the Castle grounds.
🚗 By car
There is limited parking within the Castle grounds. The nearest public car parks are listed below — all are pay & display, operated by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council.

Charges typically apply 8am–8pm; pay by the RingGo app or at the machines. Disabled parking bays are available at all three car parks. Always check current signage on arrival, as charges and restrictions can change.

Please note: we will be closing early at 5:30pm on Sunday 29 November only, due to the Tonbridge High Street Christmas Light Switch-On taking place that evening.
There is no last entry time for general admission. If you're attending a ticketed event, please refer to your booking confirmation for the relevant arrival and entry times.

Free entry, paid extras
Entry to Tonbridge Christmas Fest is completely free, allowing you to explore the Christmas Market, Food Village and festive atmosphere at no cost.
Throughout the event, a selection of exclusive daytime and evening experiences will be available as paid ticketed events. As these attractions take place within the Christmas Lounge, capacity may be limited during certain periods.

We want everyone to enjoy the magic. The event is fully accessible, with step-free access throughout the public areas, including the Christmas Lounge.
🍽️ Food & drink
Whether you're craving festive favourites, sweet treats or a warming winter drink, you'll find plenty in the Food Village and Christmas Lounge. Outside food and drink cannot be taken into the Christmas Lounge — food purchased from our on-site traders is welcome inside.
💳 Payments
Our bars and food outlets accept both cash and card. Market traders may only accept card payments — methods can vary between individual stalls.
🐾 Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor event areas. Only registered assistance dogs are permitted inside the Christmas Lounge.
🎶 Entertainment
From live music and festive performances to family entertainment and special guest appearances, there's something happening every event day.

The Christmas Lounge is fully covered — warm and cosy whatever the weather, though capacity is limited. The Market, Food Village and many attractions are outdoors, so wrap up warm and bring an umbrella if rain is forecast.
